    What is Iridology?

Iridology is a traditional educational practice that views the iris — the colored part of the eye — as a detailed map reflecting different regions of the body. Practiced for over a century in European and American natural-health traditions, it's used as a gentle observational tool rather than a diagnostic one. At Horn of Plenty Health, we share iridology in the spirit it was given to us: as a way to notice patterns, encourage curiosity about your own body, and open conversations about lifestyle, nutrition, and herbal support. It is not medicine, and it does not replace your doctor — but it can be a beautiful starting point for the kind of holistic self-awareness our shop has been built on since 1977.

    Reading the Iris

The iris is divided into zones — like the face of a clock — with each clock-hour position traditionally associated with a different organ or body system. Concentric rings, working outward from the pupil, are thought to reflect layers of the body: from digestion at the center, through the circulatory and structural systems, out to the skin and lymph. Practitioners look at fiber density, color variations, and markings to get an impression of constitutional tendencies. It's part observation, part folk wisdom — and like reading tea leaves or studying handwriting, the value is in what it invites you to pay attention to, not in any precise medical claim.

    How to Use This Tool

Use the chart and the AI analyzer below as conversation starters, not verdicts. Hover the chart to learn which body zones traditional iridology associates with each clock position. Then upload a close-up photo of your iris for an educational reading powered by AI. The results are written in plain language and end with general wellness suggestions — things like herbs, foods, or lifestyle nudges that pair with what the iris is showing. If something resonates, come into the store: our team can help you build a real plan with supplements, herbs, and food that fits your life and budget.

Upload a Photo of Your Eye

Take a clear, well-lit close-up of your iris. Good lighting + sharp focus = better analysis.

    Tips for a good photo
    • • Bright, indirect daylight
    • • Fill the frame with one eye
    • • Stay sharp and in focus
    • • No glasses or strong reflections

Your analysis will appear here. Nothing is stored — your photo is sent for one-time analysis only.
